Who We Are
At CactiCorner, we are passionate about nurturing the beauty and resilience of cacti and succulents. Operating a small hobby-size greenhouse in Burlington, Ontario, we dedicate ourselves to growing hundreds of seedlings each year from both our own carefully cultivated seeds and those sourced from around the globe. Our commitment extends beyond mere cultivation; we specialize in a diverse array of winter-hardy species that thrive even in the coldest winters, ensuring that our plants not only survive but flourish in challenging climates. Join us in exploring the fascinating world of these remarkable plants, where every seed tells a story of growth and sustainability.
My history
Siberia (Russia)
I caught the "cacti" virus being a teenager in the industrial  town Novokuznetsk in western Siberia. Actually, the club named Notocactus founded in 1974 and when I joined the Club the meeting were s crowded that the Club had to organise two monthly meetings for different groups. There're two annual Show & Sale events:
- May 9 that is the WW2 Victory Day in USSR/Russia
- Last weekend of August - the professional Miners day
Ontario (Canada)
Obviously that when my family moved to Canada, I left all my collection in the hands on my friends and colleagues. I was so lucky that I found that there’s a Cactus and Succulent Club in Toronto which we joined in 2000. Since that time we are active members of the Club and participating in annual Shows and Sale, hosting Club picnics and being nominated to the TC&SC board of directors. Vladimir is the Treasurer of the Club since 2019.
